Hello and welcome to Wikipedia!
Here are some tips to help you get started:
- Try the Tutorial, and feel free to experiment in the test area.
- If you need help, post a question at the Help Desk
- Eventually, you might want to read the Manual of Style and Policies and Guidelines.
- Remember Wikipedia:Neutral point of view
- Explore, be bold in editing pages, and, most importantly, have fun!
Good luck!
P.S. One last helpful hint. To sign your posts like I did above (on talk pages, for example) use the '~' symbol. To insert just your name, type ~~~ (3 tildes), or, to insert your name and timestamp, use ~~~~ (4 tildes).
Unified Modeling Language - History
[edit]Hi Robert. Many thanks for your recent contribution to the History section of Unified Modeling Language. I do have a question: in the sentence
UML has since subsumed the concepts of several software development methods, including Booch, OMT, OOSE, Class-Relation and OOram.
is "Class-Relation" the same as Class-Responsibility-Collaboration card?
BTW, I would like to add OOram to Object modeling language, unfortunately I do not know to which "Generation" it belongs to...
Thanks! — Adrian | Talk 13:51, 8 November 2005 (UTC)
- Thanks for the swift response to my question and your clarification — Adrian | Talk 14:46, 8 November 2005 (UTC)
Stalag Luft III Addition
[edit]You added a couple of lines that included:
The BBC used the character Wings Day as the British head of in POW camp at Colditz even though that was not historically accurate.
Was this in a film or TV series or something? You seem to have omitted where they inaccurately used his character.
Contraposition

[edit]Hi. Regarding this edit, please can you cite your sources? (such as airport security being allowed to copy people's harddrives)? This is quite a claim, and so requires credible sources, as I'm sure you appreciate. Cheers, --Rebroad (talk) 17:34, 20 November 2008 (UTC)

The article Global Day has been proposed for deletion. The proposed-deletion notice added to the article should explain why.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Kevin (talk) 06:22, 7 July 2011 (UTC)

Nomination of Global day for deletion
[edit]A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Global day is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.
The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Global day until a consensus is reached, and anyone, including you, is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.
Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. Mccapra (talk) 04:11, 26 January 2019 (UTC)
The article Old Kentish Sign Language has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
I read this article and thought it was all speculation with the references used to support notability all being speculative themselves. I then checked on this talk page and found the above comments by editors who also thought this language may not even have existed. I then checked online for references and all I could find was the same references used here that do only confirm that the existence of the language is speculative. Based on the fact that there is nothing to verify the languages notability I suggest this article is deleted. Even as a speculative language, notability is not established by any sources.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Roger 8 Roger (talk) 09:55, 27 February 2019 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, I'm CWenger. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Interstellar travel, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. –CWenger (^ • @) 16:41, 9 December 2022 (UTC)
