Net worth

[edit]

Snopes.com just published an article questioning the quality of the sources this article uses to support the claim that the Osteen's net worth is $40-$60 million. The sources we use (and the one that one of our sources links to) just say things like "Osteen’s net worth was reported $56,000,000" and "He is allegedly worth approximately $60 million as of 2017" without stating how these numbers were determined or where they were gotten from. I don't see how these reports can be considered reliable. I'm removing the information for now. SQGibbon (talk) 13:23, 7 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Promotional or not?

[edit]

"Osteen was included on Barbara Walters's list of the 10 Most Fascinating People of 2006.[1][2] Former presidential candidate John McCain described Osteen as his favorite inspirational author.[3] The Osteen family attended an Easter breakfast hosted by President Barack Obama at the White House in 2010.[4]"

This just feels like it's idolising him but I feel like if I remove it I'll face backlash, and have other better changes removed with it. Therefore, I'd like to reach a consensus on whether or not it should stay. JacobTheRox (talk) 17:13, 4 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
